       The China Advanced Perception Industry Summit Forum was recently held in the Wuxi High-Tech Zone. The summit, themed "Connecting through Advanced Sensing, Intelligence for the Future," jointly called for industry elites to strengthen collaboration among government, academia, research, and industry to accelerate the development of the intelligent sensor industry.

       At the conference, Wen Lianggong, Dean of the Sensor Application Research Institute of the National High-end Intelligent Home Appliances Innovation Center, Dr. Liu Lei, an expert, and the China (Wuxi) Internet of Things Research Institute jointly released the "Blue Paper on the Industrial Application of Smart Home Appliance Sensors."

       The Blue Book of Industrial Applications for Smart Home Appliance Sensors is jointly compiled by the National High-end Intelligent Home Appliances Innovation Center, Haier Smart Home, the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Microelectronics, the China Academy of Home Appliances, the National Intelligent Sensor Innovation Center, the China (Wuxi) Internet of Things Research Institute, and 25 other outstanding research institutions and enterprises. This blue book analyzes the technical characteristics of smart home appliance sensors, reviews the current status of industrial applications for smart home appliance sensors, and based on future development directions, forecasts the technological applications of the new generation of smart home appliance sensors. Additionally, the blue book highlights the industry characteristics and current challenges faced by smart home appliance sensors, calling for strengthened information sharing of technological advantages within the industry, promoting collaborative development between upstream and downstream enterprises and research institutions in the supply chain, and jointly advancing technological innovation and standard setting for smart home appliance sensors, laying a better foundation for the rapid development of the smart home appliance industry and co-creating a new ecosystem for smart homes.

Promote upstream and downstream collaboration, advance the standardization of smart home appliance sensors

  As home appliances continue to evolve, smart home appliance sensors, as an essential component, play an increasingly important role in sensing and monitoring the home environment and the health of family members, enabling real-time perception, intelligent decision-making, and automatic control, thereby making home life safer, healthier, more comfortable, and more energy-efficient.     Sensors, as key devices for real-time environmental and personnel information sensing, provide precise data inputs for smart home appliances. With continuous innovation and breakthroughs in sensor technology, the accuracy, sensitivity, and stability of sensors have significantly improved, and costs have continuously decreased. The National Innovation Center hopes that through the release of the "Blue Book on Industrial Applications of Smart Home Appliance Sensors," it can leverage industrial advantages to integrate more excellent sensor products into smart home appliances during their application. Together, they aim to establish relevant standards, unify interfaces and protocols across different manufacturers, achieve modularization and standardization of sensor products, and jointly promote the healthy development of the smart home appliance sensor industry chain.


Multi-sensor data fusion, achieving smart home scene upgrades

  Data fusion of multiple sensors refers to the integration of data collected by multiple sensors on the same target, reducing redundant data information between sensors and utilizing the complementary nature of information from each sensor in time or space. This helps to reduce errors during data collection by a single sensor and enhances the accuracy of system decision-making. The "Blue Book of Intelligent Home Appliance Sensor Industry Applications" provides professional classification of sensors and detailed explanations of the principles of various sensors. By fusing data from multiple sensors, it can better provide reliable data support for intelligent home appliance control systems, allowing our smart home systems to offer more personalized home management advice and decisions to users.     The "Blue Book of Intelligent Home Appliance Sensor Industry Applications" also describes application scenarios involving data fusion of multiple sensors, such as whole-house air control systems and smart lighting systems, aiming to provide some insights for full-home intelligence solution providers.
