Appreciate the first heavy snowfall in Xi'an in 2024, and breathe in the ancient city where the air becomes moist due to a new snowfall.

     Using the 2024 new calendar for over ten days, this is the first business trip of the year. It's not a choice, it's a coincidence. Leaving Xi'an and heading west, leaving Baoji, then heading west, the destination is Tianshui, Gansu.

     Yesterday morning (January 18th), the Xi'an Municipal Government held a meeting to promote the Xi'an industrial chain. At noon, we had lamb foam with our old friend Xue Chu and Mr. An, chatting about the past, cooperation, and thinking about the future. How to integrate intelligent perception hardware with the platform, how to explore and connect software and hardware for common development, and how to further cooperate and achieve win-win results in the industrial Internet of Things.

     The first time I went to Tianshui, the first time I took a high-speed train to Tianshui, I found out that Baoji is also the Qinling Mountains to the west. After leaving Baoji, I don't know how many tunnels I passed through. Finally, I arrived at Tianshui at around 6 o'clock in the afternoon. There was no flying snow, but there was a shivering cold wind.

     This morning, I visited Tianshui Huatian Sensor Co., Ltd., a rare sensor company in Gansu Province, which is a professional company specializing in industrial pressure sensor oil filled cores and transmitters.

      After arriving in Tianshui last night, I had a dinner with Mr. Wang, Mr. Yang, Mr. Feng, and Mr. Yue from Huatian Company to learn about the experience of Huatian Sensor Company.

     This is a state-owned enterprise named Electronics 794 Factory, also known as Yonghong Electronic Equipment Factory, which originated in the 1970s. I started working on the design and development of silicon piezoresistive pressure sensors in the 1980s. Later, state-owned enterprises were restructured and became a secondary company under the joint stock company Huatian Electronic Information Group, focusing on pressure sensors.

     This morning, accompanied by Mr. Feng, who is in charge of production, and Mr. Yue, who is in charge of management, we visited the production workshop of Huatian Electronics Company. From the production of oil filled core bodies to the assembly of pressure transmitters and liquid level transmitters, from process to quality management. Gu Ge has gained further understanding of this pressure sensor company located in the northwest of China. (In my impression, there are no more companies producing pressure sensors from Tianshui to the west, including Xinjiang Autonomous Region)

     Especially through their communication with Mr. Yang, who is responsible for technology, we learned about the details of how they solve technical problems and some difficult experiences, and further learned many techniques of oil filling technology.

      Huatian Company, located in Gansu Province, although far from the market, still has its advantages. For example, when employees are relatively stable, technicians can focus on carefully studying technology, and their execution ability is sustained and stable, resulting in lower overall costs. Their main leaders have been working in the company for over 20 years.

     After years of continuous efforts, the product is relatively stable and the market performance is good in the field of low range pressure sensor oil filled core. Currently, the minimum range is 10kpa, and the development of a 1psi core is still ongoing. At present, there are thirty to forty manufacturers of pressure sensor oil filled core bodies in the domestic market. Under the sluggish conditions of the domestic market, there is insufficient demand and severe internal competition, making price wars an inevitable choice. Huatian Company has adhered to its advantages and achieved significant development by winning with quality. Can't help but like them!

     In a hurry, after a brief exchange, Gu Ge gained a new understanding of Huatian Company. The fundamental principles for the common development of Chinese sensor companies are communication among peers, dislocation development among peers, and mutual cooperation among peers. In this regard, our Chinese sensor industry must learn from Europe.

     Arriving at Tianshui, the hometown of Fuxi, there was no time to visit Fuxi Temple, let alone visit Maiji Mountain. Tianshui is a small town with a population of only 500000 in the Hexi Corridor, and shared bicycles are not visible on the streets.
