On October 16th, a 31-member delegation consisting of leaders, teachers and students from Xi'an Jiaotong University Technology Manager College visited Xi'an Chinastar Measurement & Control Co., Ltd. (Chinastar M&C) to jointly carry out an extracurricular practical activity themed "Technological Innovation, Connected IoT World".

      This activity was co-hosted by Xi'an Jiaotong University Technology Manager College, Shaanxi Provincial Technology Manager Association, Xi'an High-tech Zone Technology Manager Association and Xi'an Chinastar Measurement & Control Co., Ltd. Founded on January 22nd, 2025, Xi'an Jiaotong University Technology Manager College is the first of its kind in China dedicated to technology manager education. With the core mission of solving the "last mile" problem in the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, the college leverages the disciplinary advantages of Xi'an Jiaotong University and the platform of China Western Science and Technology Innovation Harbor. It promotes the "integrated reform of education, science and technology, and talent system mechanisms" and is committed to cultivating a team of compound technology managers to support the national and regional innovation-driven development.

      At the beginning of the activity, the Director of the Resource Center of Chinastar M&C extended a warm welcome to the visiting group. Starting with the company's development history, he gave a comprehensive introduction to the enterprise's strategic layout and core advantages in the fields of intelligent manufacturing and smart cities. During the explanation, focus was placed on the main product system, such as pressure sensors, IoT sensors, liquid level sensors and inertial sensors. In particular, detailed elaboration was made on the technical characteristics and diversified application scenarios of IoT sensors, which aroused strong interest and lively discussions on site.

      Subsequently, the college delegation visited the company's exhibition hall, where they gained an in-depth understanding and hands-on experience of various sensor products and IoT solutions. In the IoT exhibition area, the on-site demonstrations of the smart manhole cover monitoring system and urban waterlogging monitoring system attracted special attention, vividly demonstrating the practical application effects of IoT technology in the intelligent management of urban infrastructure. In addition, the "Intelligent Care Device" specially designed for the elderly also attracted people to stop and watch, reflecting the warmth of technology in caring for people's livelihood.

      This extracurricular practical activity not only allowed students to step out of the classroom and into the enterprise to gain in-depth knowledge of the industrial practice of IoT technology, but also built a good cooperation platform for both the university and the enterprise in talent cultivation and technical exchange. In the future, Chinastar M&C will continue to uphold the concept of open cooperation, join hands with universities to promote the in-depth integration of technological innovation and talent cultivation, and contribute to the high-quality development of China's IoT industry.
