       Last weekend, when preparing the PPT content and writing it for a large sensor company abroad, in order to estimate or verify the Swiss company TE Connectivity, I wrote about it in the 100th article of the "God Talk Drama Chat" series. According to their company BW Tan's speech, the total revenue of the company in the 2022 fiscal year reached 16.3 billion US dollars. How much is the revenue from sensors?

       I specifically searched for their company's financial reports for 2022 (listed in the United States, all of which are publicly available), which showed that the company's main sources of revenue came from three major sectors: transportation, industry, and communication. The transportation sector specifically mentioned sensors worth 1.11 billion US dollars, while the other two fields were not separately listed. If the industrial sector can account for 50%, there will be a revenue of 2.2 billion US dollars. Taking both together, TE Connectivity can't be considered the world's largest sensor company with a revenue of 3.3 billion US dollars. In fact, which company is currently the largest sensor company in the world, and how much revenue does pure sensors generate? Not many people are likely to truly understand.

     

       Many years ago, I asked a senior employee at Honeywell how much global sensor marketing does Honeywell have? He can't figure it out either. Because there are many departments in Honeywell, and each department involves sensor products. Similarly, I once asked the deceased Chairman of the German Sensor Association AMA, Rosmann, which is the largest sensor company in Germany? He said it could be WIKA.

       There are many domestic and foreign consulting companies on the internet that have listed the top ten global sensor companies or the top ten pressure sensor companies in China, and so on. In Gu Ge's opinion, these are quite inaccurate. Exploring and understanding the top companies in the global sensor industry and their strategies is what Gu Ge is interested in and a benchmark for learning. It is also beneficial for promoting the development of China's sensor industry. I hope readers can communicate, explore, and summarize with Gu Ge.

       Visited China Electronics Technology Chongqing Company this morning to discuss sensor related matters. Amidst the light rain, it was less than 30 kilometers from Yubei District to Shapingba District, and the Jialing River Bridge was congested with traffic, taking over an hour. I haven't come to Chongqing many times. In Chongqing, traveling from one district to another, crossing mountains, rivers, and tunnels, it feels like traveling from one city to another.

       Pressure sensors are the most commonly used and widely used sensors. But in reality, there are also many difficulties, such as high temperatures above 250 degrees, low frequencies below 10 hertz, wide temperature ranges from -60 degrees below zero to -150 degrees above zero, and so on.

       Here, there is an issue with a pressure sensor. In a pressure environment of 8Mpa to 15Mpa (which can also be constant at a certain point), it can measure pressure fluctuations of tens of kPa, but the accuracy must reach 1 ‰, with a minimum of 5 ‰ and a working temperature range of -10 ° C to -40 ° C. If a pressure sensor with a precision of 1/10000 is selected, it still needs to reach a range of 15Mpa. Can resonance be achieved? What is the cost? What other principle pressure sensors can achieve? Do you, especially the pressure sensor experts among the observers, have any better solutions?

       

       I heard that foreign countries have already solved this problem. Can the pressure sensor of our Chinastar MCS technology solve it? By filtering, improving the accuracy to one in ten thousand or 5/100000 may be possible. Or think of another method that needs to be studied, there is no answer at the moment.
