Small Talk about Sensor While Travelling (144)

The 2025 Paris Air Show has ended successfully. Xi'an Chinastar M&C Limited participated in the world's largest air show for the first time, gaining valuable customers. MCS aviation-purpose high-end pressure sensors have been understood and recognized by some overseas customers. This may also be a small step for China's original high-end pressure sensors to enter overseas.

Seeing this small step, I suddenly remembered that in 2005, Xi'an Chinastar M&C Limited, as the only Chinese company in China to participate in the Sensor+Test in Germany, let the five-star red flag fly in front of the Nuremberg Exhibition Hall in Germany for the first time. As the representative of Chinese sensors, China Star Measurement and Control Company has been valued by the deceased Chairman Rossman of the German Sensor Association, and has provided free travel and accommodation services to Gu Ge himself. In 2005, a Chinese company participated in the German sensor exhibition, and in 2025, nearly 70 companies participated in the German sensor exhibition, which is known as the world's largest. At the same time, dozens of Chinese sensor companies were organized to visit groups to inspect European sensor industry and technology.

This is a major advancement for Chinese sensor companies.

20 years later, Xi'an Chinastar M&C Limited, as the only sensor company in China to participate in the world's largest air show (in 2024, it participated in the Van Paul Air Show in the UK.) It also carries China's original high-end sensor technology and products, which also has the iconic symbol and practical significance of China's signature from ordinary sensors to high-end sensors going overseas 20 years ago.

It is hoped that 20 years will be needed for China's various high-end sensors to enter the overseas market in all aspects.

Chinese sensor companies have gone overseas for 20 years, but most are mainly low-end and mid-range sensors, and foreign countries still have certain deviations in understanding China. In addition, Europe and the United States have "default isolation" of Chinese technology companies or products. The difficulty of exporting is more difficult than low-end products with low prices, and it requires more effort and smarter methods to start.

Gu Ge has a few superficial views expressed here by participating in last year's London Air Show in the UK and this year's French Air Show in Paris.

First, no matter which high-end sensor, you must have your own full understanding and clear judgment of the world's high-end sensors, and truly understand that your technology and products are indeed high-end on a global scale. Either comprehensive performance or in a certain performance, it does have special practical significance for certain market segments, avoiding unnecessary waste of resources.

Second, you must have long-term ideological preparation when entering the high-end market, and it is definitely not possible to participate in the first or second exhibitions. People in this major know that the higher the overseas market, the more complicated the customer cognition process, the longer the product testing time, the more certifications the customer needs, and the slower the entry process.

Third, for example, the military markets of major European and American countries are strictly restricted and it is difficult to enter. There are multiple suppliers in the civil markets of major European and American countries. As sensors are the end of the industrial chain. To enter the host market, you need to go through a supply chain of one, two or even three levels to make it possible, but this requires patience.

Fourth, due to the requirements of safety and reliability, the innovation of civil aircraft is slow and cautious, so it is really laborious and resource-intensive to enter new sensors to communicate with the technology of the entire machine factory. The existing sensor types have undergone major technical or cost improvements. Replacing them may be a relatively fast idea. In short, the incremental market is difficult, and the replacement of the existing market may have advantages.

Fifth, high-end aviation sensors will directly enter major European and American companies, such as Boeing and Airbus, which will definitely be slower. Then, slowly penetration may be one of the effective ways to enter through small European and American companies or through European companies with less economically developed countries.

Sixth, China's planned sensor companies must be brave enough to participate in such high-end market exhibitions and dare to show the courage and ability of Chinese companies to the world. Like China's new energy and new energy vehicles, we dare to innovate, make progress, and have ambition to surpass. I believe that one day there will be amazing Chinese sensor products spread throughout the overseas market.

China is progressing, and Europe and the United States are also progressing. To a certain extent, European and American culture is more conducive to innovation than Chinese culture, especially the environment for corporate innovation. As a segmented market, sensors have also attracted widespread attention in China. Large companies such as Huawei, BOE, and BYD attach great importance to sensors, especially the development of innovative sensors.

The development of artificial intelligence, in the real industrial economy, the application of filters in all aspects must be combined with thousands of and strange sensors. There is no real-time, real sensors that provide corresponding data, so-called artificial intelligence is definitely a lie.

In today's China, hyping artificial intelligence is a fashion and a trend. Many Chinese people's understanding of sensors is far lower than that of integrated circuits. However, the development of Chinese sensors is always slower than that of Europe and the United States. Therefore, Brother Gu called on us to pay attention to the development of sensors. Especially in the future, artificial intelligence and embodied intelligence will be even more so. Without working hard on this, artificial intelligence will become another high-end game.

Shenzhou is about to go out to sea, and courageous cognition is indispensable.

Only by solidly developing high-quality products can we have the stars shining around the world.
