Small Talk about Sensor While Travelling (121)

Today is the fourth morning of Gu's visit to London, should have been on the way to the exhibition hall of London FarnBorough, because of the China (Shaanxi) - British aerospace enterprises matchmaking exchange, and only now have time to write this public article in the hotel.

Yesterday was the first day of the FarnBorough International Airshow in the United Kingdom, and it was the first time for Gu to participate in this exhibition, and there were a few small fresh points that were different from the previous days of participating in foreign exhibitions:

For one thing, this air show is held every two years, and it's known to have started in 1948, so it's supposed to have a long history, and it's one of the top-ranked air shows in the world.

Secondly, the airshow has both indoor and outdoor exhibits, but the indoor pavilion buildings are temporarily built at FarnBorough Airport, after the show, these buildings will be dismantled and restored to their original form, the indoor building meets all the requirements of the exhibition, which is quite special.

Thirdly, the exhibition lasts for five days, which is two days longer than that of general industry exhibitions. Perhaps due to the reason that there areair shows, the market for professional and general audiences is different. It seems that our airshow in Zhuhai, China is also like this.

Fourth, due to the FarnBorough military airport near the hotel is less, most of the visiting exhibitors are far away, coupled with the security reasons, the visit to the farther distance, spend a longer time. In addition, there are many exhibitors and participants, and the road is narrow. Our delegation from the hotel to the Van Paul airport to spend an hour or so, from the airport to switch to the free double-decker bus, and then have to drive 20 minutes to 30 minutes to get to the booth, a total of about one and a half hours to two hours.

Fifthly, because there will be an airshow, it will attract a lot of spectators to watch the show, which will in effect increase the number of visitors. Most of the exhibitors are also fans of the air show.

We all know that there are a lot of sensors in the aircraft, and in the modern era of aviation, it is difficult to fly an airplane without them. A medium-sized airliner, such as the Boeing 737, will have more than 2,000 different kinds of sensors. Flight control systems, inertial guidance systems, environmental systems, avionics, hydraulics, pneumatic systems, are inseparable from a variety of sensors to support. A fighter jet also has thousands of different sensors that can withstand a wide range of environments.

Sensors commonly used in most of our industries. There are some must have applications in aerospace. Although GPS has been widely used , but the aircraft must be equipped with multi-stage autonomous navigation system , has been in case of GPS failure . Such as imu (inertial measurement unit) and VG (vertical gyro) AHRS (attitude control system) Of course, nowadays aircraft will have GPS and inertial guidance fusion system.

This exhibition, Xi'an Chinastar M&C brought these related products single-axis to three-axis gyro, but the axis to three continents acceleration sensor, as well as IMU, VG inclination and other mems sensors, to find the aerospace market outside of China.

We all know that the temperature of the plateau is much lower than that of the plains. Similarly, after an airplane flies up to 10,000 meters in the sky, the external temperature of the airplane is below -50 degrees Celsius. Then, as the monitoring of the external environment of the various sensors, have to withstand the -50 degrees or so of the environment test.

Xi'an Chinastar M&C has brought the original MCS high-end pressure sensor, which can work reliably at minus 65 degrees Celsius, and at the same time, maintains high measurement accuracy within a certain wide temperature range, which is a pressure sensor most suitable for aerospace systems.

It's almost time for the meeting, so that's all I have to say first. Later on, we will show you more information about the airshow and sensor information.
